According to Corriere di Bologna, Joey Saputo’s Bologna FC might sign AC Milan Midfielder Andrea Poli to a potential deal that seems him playing for both Bologna and Montreal.

This deal would be similar to the one Dzemaili and Mancosu signed with Bologna, which is to play a certain amount of time with Bologna in the Serie A and then head to the MLS and play for the Montreal Impact.

This seems to be a pattern with the players Bologna sign that in their contract they play with Bologna first and then head to Montreal, this deal has worked very well in the past with Mancosu and Dzemaili.

Dzemaili and Andrea Poli both share the same agent (Giovanni Branchini) who got Dzemaili to sign the Bologna/Montreal deal and it wouldn't be a surprise if he got the same deal done for Poli.

The Price tag for Andrea Poli seems to change but AC Milan has reportedly put a $2 Million dollar price tag on him despite him becoming a free agent in June 2018. Andrea Poli’s salary is reported to be around $1.5 Million each season.

The 27-year-old Italian has been with AC Milan since 2013. This deal could potentially be great for both Bologna and Montreal as the Central Midfielder has played high-quality football in the Serie A for a couple of years now. He has also played with Italy on the national stage since he was 17-years-old.

We will have to wait and find out if this deal will happen but it seems like this deal is probable as he and Dzemaili share the same agent. He could be a great fit in Montreal in the next 1-2 years as the Impact would need to sign a new midfielder as Patrice Bernier will be retiring soon.
