According to Grant Wahl of Sports Illustrated, the Montreal Impact are set to announce that Alessandro Nesta will be the next head coach of the Montreal Impact. The potential announcement would be surprising but not shocking or is it the other way? At this point, no second confirmation have come from anyone else whether this piece of news will actually come true or not.

What is not surprising or not shocking about the ''Nesta-Head Coach'' rumor is that it came up as soon as the central defender signed with the Impact. It was disregarded quickly but not forgotten even though it made sense for a player of his age to think about his career, after he hangs up his cleets.
At this point, the Nesta rumour does not make sense at all as it entails too much risk for him to fail and the same can be said for the club. With no UEFA PRO coaching license (that we know about) and a desire to spend time with his family in Miami, the rumour does not make sense at all.
Stay tuned for any developments on this story because this ride is going to be interesting no matter what happens.
