Didier Drogba will receive a fine and not be suspended

The Didier Drogba affair has been resolved. Joey Saputo, Montreal Impact President, has declared to the media that a resolution was found between the player and the club as both parties are moving on.

Drogba will not be suspended by the club but a fine will be issued as per league regulations.

Now that it has been confirmed that Didier Drogba is staying with the club, Joey Saputo made sure to focus on the near future which includes the last game of the season (against the New England Revolution) and the MLS Playoffs.

With the clear objective of going far in the playoffs, Joey Saputo does not shy away when he says that an MLS Cup is an attainable objective for this club.
