Canadian u23 goalkeeper Sebastian Breza is to join CF Montreal on-loan from Bologna 1909 for the 2021 season.
Sporting Director Olivier Renard, a former goalkeeper himself, was happy with his work in acquiring the Ottawa native’s signature.
“We are pleased to welcome another Canadian international. He’s very talented and knows several players on this team already, and will bring additional competition to Clément [Diop] and James [Pantemis].”
Breza, 23, left the Ste-Julie Soccer Club when he was 16 years old to join S.S. Monopoli 1966, in Italy. Loaned to Palermo FC in 2016, he then played 54 games with Potenza SC in the Italian third division before joining Bologna FC 1909, on August 29, 2020. He has also been selected by Canada at U23, U21 and U20 levels in the past.
Breza was born in Canada to a Polish father and Norwegian mother, and holds dual citizenship with Canada and Norway.
