He is unmistakably fast and his untimely injury sealed his fate.

One of the few players left from the 2012 MLS Expansion Draft, Sanna Nyassi was a serviceable player, that would not survive 3 head coaches in as many years. The Gambian forward-winger had an excellent pre-season in 2014 but an early injury stopped his momentum.

It was clear that Frank Klopas was going to bring some of his Chicago Fire '' guys '' and Nyassi paid the price. He was traded to the Fire and in return, the Impact got Dilly Duka. It was a trade that was seen to be a winning one for the bleu-blanc-noir and it still holds true.

The Gambian international seemed like he could have helped the Montreal Impact.

If it's hard to find a picture wearing a Montreal Impact jersey during a game, it's usually a sign that you didn't have much of an impact, pun not intended. Traded from the Portland Timbers for a 2015 draft second round pick. His MLS experience seemed to be what the Impact needed.

But with only 3 games played, it was quite the mystery why Futty Danso didn't see the pitch more often. He might be the symbol of a lack of communication between the technical/managerial department and the coaching staff. Though, Frank Klopas does have first and last say on who plays on his first team.

We will miss you Danso, or at least what many Impact fans hoped to see you do for the bleu-blanc-noir, but never really did.

Is the young forward closer to the USL Pro in 2015?

Anthony Jackson-Hamel began the 2014 year with USL PDL club Montreal Impact U23. After scoring 4 goals in 6 games, he was signed to his first professional contract with the Montreal Impact on August 1, 2014.. His debut was during a 2-0 loss to the hand of Toronto FC , 24 hours later.

He is part of these academy graduates that are still looking to find their own identity as professionals on and off the pitch. His future will probably send him to the U23 team that will in USL Pro, FC Montréal.

But if this goal went it, wouldn't his fortune change dramatically? What if....

Lost in translation

He came from nowhere, an unexpected signing from Uruguay's second division and might have been a rough gem waiting to explode onto the MLS scene. He neither exploded nor imploded but his profile was interesting with the potential seen in him by the Impact staff.

Before joining the Montreal Impact in February 2014, Gonzalez was first in goals scored on Institución Atlética Sud América in the Uruguayan Primera Division Apertura. His transfer to MLS fell under the acquisition of Special Discovery and was highly touted by ex- Sporting Director, Nick De Santis.

His 9 appearances were nothing special and we don't know if Frank Klopas seems him in his plans for 2015 but it's highly doubtful. In the middle of the season, Gonzalez was sent on loan to Uruguyan club, Danubio.

For the next few weeks, Player profiles will be posted of the 2014 Montreal Impact squad. Our first look is at Louis Beland-Goyette

Louis Beland-Goyette made 8 appearances with the USL PDL club of the Montreal Impact , composed of the U23. He signed his first professional contract with the club on September 12, 2014.

He made his debut as a 75th minute substitute during a 1-2 loss to the New England Revolution on September 13th 2014. Béland-Goyette has represented Canada at the U-18 and U-20 level. He was a part of the U-20 squad that went to the 2014 Milk Cup.
