‘As you were’ Impact, as Vanney rings the changes for TFC

For Montreal Impact it’s entirely as you were.

Thierry Henry keeps exactly the same starting line-up that got the job done at BMO Field last week.

The only surprise is that Bojan does not make the bench.

For the Reds, coach Greg Vanney, who tonight becomes the first man to lead a side into 30 Canadian Classique matches, goes for experience, preferring tried and trusted Jozy Altidore up front to the younger Ayo Akinola, scorer of a hat-trick last time he started against the Impact.

Liam Fraser was expected to continue for the injured Michael Bradley in midfield, but Vanney has again gone for a player with slightly more experience in Richie Laryea, just back from injury.

Laurent Ciman who played in the weekend defeat to Vancouver Whitecaps is left out against his former club, Chris Mavinga, a sub at the weekend, coming back to partner Omar Gonzalez in central defence.

There have been slight doubts around the fitness of Altidore (foot injury) also, so will be interesting to see how long he participates this evening.

Strange empty atmosphere that I hope we never get used to, but still there’s a definite buzz in the air for this one!!!
