The Liga Professional Argentina opened last weekend, with Impact record-scorer, Nacho Piatti involved only in a four minute cameo role for San Lorenzo at the end of the game.

He replaced Lucas Menossi in the the scoreless draw with Argentinos Juniors at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.

San Lorenzo is in Group Five with Argentinos Juniors, Aldosivi and Estudiantes La Plata, whom they face this Saturday at home.

Estudiantes and Aldosivi also played out a scoreless draw in the group’s other game last weekend.

It was the first top level football played in Argentina since March.

Since his return to Argentina, Piatti has made two starts for San Lorenzo, also the same number of times he’s been introduced from the bench and he’s yet to score.

I wonder what they’d think about the Impact borrowing him back for the CONCACAF Champions League in December?
