Matteo Ferrari Out For 3 Weeks : Big Blow for the Montreal Impact Defence

USA TODAY Sports

Matteo Ferrari has been ruled out for 3 weeks due to a calf injury.

Matteo Ferrari has been ruled out for 3 weeks and should miss 3 games for the Montreal Impact. The Italian defender has been the rock of the Impact defense since arriving during the 2012 preseason.

He played 25 games in the 2012 MLS season during which he also missed games. The Serie A seems to be unlucky as it is the second time he gets injured during the Stade Saputo home opener. He injured his right quadriceps against the Seattle Sounders in June 2012.

Ferrari should miss both Canadian Championships semi-final games against Toronto FC and the MLS regular season against the Chicago Fire at Stade Saputo.
