After some delay since the initial news coming out from Italian soccer blogs, Pisanu will be a Montreal Impact player for 2013.
Bologna FC has just made official that both clubs have reached an agreement for the transfer of Andrea Pisanu to the Montreal Impact.
The transfer covers a period of one year as per the official release (one-year loan) and Pisanu will join the team next week. Pisanu will be joining his Italian compatriots Marco Di Vaio, Alessandro Nesta and Matteo Ferrari with a Bologna FC connection with Di Vaio and Ferrari.
The Italian midfielder fits the offensive profile that Nick De Santis was looking for but it might not be the end in transfers for the Impact. The appointment (much sooner than later) of a head coach in the next days/weeks could add more player personnel movement within the club.
The Montreal Impact have not confirmed the 1-year loan deal yet but a team spokesman confirmed to TVA Sports and Patrick Friolet of RDS that there are still details that need to be ironed out.
Andrea Pisanu shares his happiness to joint the club by thanking the fans that did not miss a chance to welcome him
Thanks everybody for your tweets... Can't wait to be in Montreal....See you soon...
