No surprise to hear that Nelson Rivas wasn't going to get away with just a red card. The Colombian central defender head-butted Antoine Hoppenot during an altercation. The french forward is not blameless as he awkwardly tackled and performed a Judo Ippon on the Colombian. No excuses for Rivas as he gets an additional 2 games to the automatic from the red card and a undisclosed fine.

In the same altercation, Jack Mcinerney received a red card for retaliating on Rivas, a red card that balanced out the game and was a big factor for the Impact's win. No news from the Philadelphia Union if an appeal will be used for Mcinerney's red card.
