Justin Mapp opted out of the Re-Entry Draft

Via the official Montreal Impact twitter account

Justin Mapp wants to stay with the club and the club seems to want to keep him at a lower price. An obviously talented player, Justin Mapp has been the source of frustration from fans (and Marco Di Vaio),a frustration that comes with the unfulfilled potential of the left-footed magician.

Is keeping Justin Mapp a move to have more depth in the team to compose a starting XI with a deep bench? It's very possible but one thing is for sure, the Montreal Impact are making personnel choices without a head coach. That is not source of controversy but of a reality of a non Anglo-Saxon soccer management in which the head coach does not make the team by himself.
