Gianluca Di Marzo of Sky Sports Italy has announced on his personal blog that Andrea Pisanu is on his way to Canada. The ex-Bologna midfielder was on trial with the Montreal Impact as the MLS club was in Italy for its post-season tour.
The professional career of Andrea Pisanu (30-year old) halted in 2010 with Bologna as he only played 2 games since 2010 in Serie A. His latest club was Prato in Lega Pro Prima Divisione (ex-Serie C1) with which he appeared in 23 games and scored 11 goals.
As many have seen him play in the friendly game against Fiorentina with the Impact, Pisanu seems to be able to fill the role of a side midfielder and be a ''second striker option''. If the signing is made official, his role and position in the team will be more clear in pre-season.
Andrea Pisanu has also as an agent, Federico Pastorello, something he has in common with Marco Di Vaio.
