The Montreal Impact have just called a press conference on a Saturday morning at 10:15 AM.
Only a few days the 2012 MLS season post-mortem, the media is invited to Stade Saputo for a press conference. Owner and president, Joey Saputo, will make an announcement. With the timing and the last minute aspect of it , this almost has to be a major announcement.
Is it a big hiring? a firing? a DP signing? The Montreal Impact staff is good at keeping secrets but the earlier rumor of Dejan Stankovic in the Impact's line of sight has created a buzz. With the team leaving for Italy in 3 days, this is either a planned event or coincidental timing.
