Greg Sutton makes retirement official

George Frey

The 35-year old Canadian goalkeeper announces his official retirement from the game of soccer.

With twitter the best tool for breaking news, Greg Sutton makes his retirement official. It was expected to be announced for a while but the out-pour and kind words of support from teammates , media and fans is at least heart warming.

The ex-Canadian International played 53 games in MLS action and made his mark and name with his long stint with the Montreal Impact in the A-League. He joined the Montreal Impact in between his MLS career and played over 130 games that included a A-League championship in 2004.
