Bad news for the Montreal Impact for the end of the season as Felipe Martins will undergo a surgery for a sports hernia.
The offensive midfielder will miss the remaining 2 games of the season against Toronto FC and the New England Revolution.
Surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday and no news yet on the potential duration of his recovery.
Felipe Martins is one of the pillars of the team, showing great flashes in the beginning of the season. He really exploded when he played one notch up the field as an offensive midfielder in Jesse Marsch's 4-2-3-1. With 4 goals and 10 assists, Felipe absence will hurt but let's hope he comes back in full form for the 2013 season.
